History

CAMP was born from many years of faithful ministry, church partnership, and a continuing vision to serve the people of Central Asia.

Vladimir Mandych is the founder of CAMP, Central Asia Missions Partnership. His life and ministry reflect a long-standing commitment to the Gospel, church leadership, worship ministry, and mission work across Central Asia and beyond.

1955

Early life

Vladimir Mandych was born in Chelyabinsk, Russia. His parents were members of a persecuted Evangelical Christian church, and the family later moved to Tokmok, Kyrgyzstan.

1982

Worship and youth ministry

In Tokmok, Vladimir began serving youth. In 1982, he became the choir conductor and worship leader at the Tokmok church.

1989–1993

The “Good News” mission

With the blessing of church leaders, Vladimir founded the mission “Good News” in 1989 and served as its president until 1993. Through this mission, several new churches were established across Central Asia and Russia.

1994–1996

Pastoral and bishop ministry

In 1994, Vladimir was ordained as pastor of the “Temple of God” church in Tokmok. In 1996, he was ordained as a bishop of the United Church of Evangelical Christians of Kyrgyzstan.

2002–2006

Ministry in the United States

In 2002, Vladimir, his wife Nina, and their five children immigrated to the United States. In 2006, they founded Life Spring Church in Beaverton, Oregon.

Ongoing

Continuing work in Kyrgyzstan

Vladimir continued to return to Kyrgyzstan regularly to support local churches and leaders, organize conferences and seminars, and develop programs for children, parents, and those in need. As partnerships expanded, he began visiting Kyrgyzstan twice a year for month-long trips.

2025

The launch of CAMP

In 2025, the CAMP mission was launched. Central Asia Missions Partnership was created to broaden cooperation with churches, missions, and organizations in sharing the Gospel with children, youth, and adults.

Continuing the work through partnership, discipleship, and service.

Today, CAMP continues this vision by connecting people, churches, and ministries for the spiritual encouragement and practical support of communities throughout Central Asia.
